Yay for you if you have noticed any changes to the layout of this here weblog. As I said a couple weeks back, these changes – the surface changes, at least – are more evolutionary than revolutionary, so no reader should fear the future.
As for alterations beneath the surface: You’ll doubtless remember that this site had been using a variation of the Neoclassical + Thesis layout, a child theme of Chris Pearson’s Thesis framework. Recently, I decided to revise the underpinnings of the site and adapt Thesis directly rather than adapting the adaptation (that is, Neoclassical + Thesis). Part of the reason was a desire to learn a little more about Thesis; the rest of it was simply wanting to do it, the usual bloodymindedness.
Now it’s largely done – go me! – save the expected tweaks here and there. As with home ownership, there’s always something to do at the ol’ blogstead. At least it keeps me off the streets.
Note: No guarantees that the design here won’t change yet again.
